# Recipe Grid block

The **Recipe Grid** shows recipe tiles — photo, name, star rating and total time — linking to each recipe. Use it for a “Latest recipes” section on your home page, a “Vegan recipes” page, or “More desserts” at the end of a post.

## Settings (sidebar)

**Which recipes**

| Option |  |
| --- | --- |
| **Course** | **All** or one course |
| **Cuisine** | **All** or one cuisine |
| **Diet** | **All** or one diet |
| **Order** | **Newest first**, **Highest rated**, **A → Z**, **Random** |

Filters combine: *Course: Dessert* + *Diet: Vegan* shows vegan desserts.

**Layout**

| Option | Default |  |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Number of recipes** | 6 | 1–24 |
| **Columns** | 3 | 1–6 on desktop. Tablets show 2 columns, phones 1. |
| **Show rating** | on | Stars under the name (only when the recipe has ratings) |
| **Show total time** | on |  |

## Where tiles link

- With [public recipe pages](https://scrumptiouswp.com/help/recipe-pages/) **on**: each tile links to the recipe’s own page.
- With them **off**: each tile links to the post that shows the recipe. Recipes that aren’t in any published post yet are skipped.

If nothing matches, the grid shows *No recipes to show yet.*
