# Installing Scrumptious Pro and your license

Scrumptious Pro is a separate plugin that adds to the free **Scrumptious – Recipe Cards**. Keep the free plugin installed and active; Pro builds on it.

## Install

1. After buying, open the purchase email (or your account on scrumptiouswp.com) and download **scrumptious-pro.zip**. Copy the **license key** too.
2. In WordPress, go to **Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin**, choose the zip, then **Install Now** and **Activate**.
3. Go to **Recipes → License**, paste the key and click **Activate License**.

You’ll see **Scrumptious Pro is active** (or Studio / Agency). That’s it.

**Note:** Scrumptious Pro needs the free plugin. If it’s missing you’ll see *Scrumptious Pro needs the free Scrumptious – Recipe Cards plugin*. Install it from **Plugins → Add New Plugin** first.

## Updates

Once the license is active, Pro updates appear in **Dashboard → Updates** and on the **Plugins** screen like any other plugin, including automatic updates if you turn them on.

## Moving a license to another site

Each plan allows a number of sites (1, 5 or unlimited). To move one:

1. On the old site: **Recipes → License → Deactivate License**.
2. On the new site: paste the key and **Activate License**.

If the old site is gone, remove it from your account instead (below).

## Your sites, in your account

Log in at [scrumptiouswp.com → Account](https://scrumptiouswp.com/customer-dashboard/) (the email you bought with). Under **Licenses** you’ll see your key and every site it’s active on, and you can remove a site there, for example one that no longer exists. On the **Agency** plan that’s your list of every client site, in one place.

The same page has your subscription (renew, cancel, change card), orders, invoices and downloads.

Staging and local copies of a site: activate only the live site. Updates on a staging copy can be installed by uploading the latest zip.

## Priority support

Every paid plan includes priority support. Go to **Recipes → Support**, type your question and click **Send to support**. It goes straight to us, marked with your plan so it’s answered first, usually within one business day.

- Tick **Include my site details** (on by default) and we get your WordPress, PHP, theme and plugin versions, so we don’t need to ask. No passwords, keys or content are sent. Click **What’s included** to see exactly what goes.
- The reply goes to the email address in **Reply to**.
- If your site can’t send email, you’ll get a link to send the same message from your own mail app. You can always write to hello@scrumptiouswp.com too.

## When your plan lapses

Nothing breaks. Every Pro feature **keeps working**; only updates and support stop until you renew. Renewing turns updates back on without re-entering the key.

A refunded license is revoked, and Pro features switch off.

## Problems

| Message | What to do |
| --- | --- |
| *This is not a valid license. Please double-check it and try again.* | Copy the key again from the email, with no spaces. |
| *This license has been revoked.* | The purchase was refunded. [Contact us](https://scrumptiouswp.com/contact/) if that’s a mistake. |
| *This license is not valid for this product.* | You pasted a key for a different product. |
| An activation limit error | The key is in use on its maximum number of sites. Deactivate one first (see above). |

Your site contacts SureCart (our store) only to check the license and look for updates. No recipe content or visitor data is sent.
